Here's another "Welcome to Alabama" sign...

 

Agreed, it's screwed up. UGA should be ranked #2 behind us... Or more likely #1.25 behind us. I was talking to a UGA coworker yesterday and he says they revert to wins & losses and UGA is the top rated 2 loss team.

UGA sure can make a single loss bite them in the butt bad. This year losing to USCe and in 2007 losing to TN. I honestly believe you guys had the best team in the country towards the end of that season but the early loss to TN kept you out of the SEC 'ship and a couple of teams jumped y'all the final week.

LOL, yeah that looks pretty good... I'm surprised t4daddy hasn't chimed in to let us know all about the mobile home in the picture. You know, he is the authority on them.

 

This is where the problem is. I don't look at the 2 loses, I'm looking at who do I think is the better team? Who would win head to head?

I have to go a long way down the rankings to find anyone I think ND would beat.

 

True That... I honestly figured they'd put Oregon 2 & UGA 3 only to break up the SEC. I then figured ND would fall to around 5 just so they wouldn't have to admit that they were ranked too high to begin with. I remember ESPN's Mark May saying to Lou Holtz & Rece Davis that no other school other than ND could have started the year outside the top 25 and made it to a number 1 ranking.

I found it amusing that the media's most precious darlings, ND & USCw got their butts handed to them this bowl season. USCw started the season ranked #1.

 

And the last #1 team before ND got their asses kicked too .

Where would you have put a team that was undefeated during the regular season? If Oregon and K state had not lost Neither ND or Alabama would have played in the NC gane. Show me where the media favored ND to be number one or do you just hate ND because it is the "thing" to do on this forum...

And pick on any/every team there is. Coffeesnob shouldn't feel special. No team goes unnoticed

 

I don't know... Fairley was as big a part of that team as Cam, plus auburn had an O-line full of seniors. Alabama was as talented that year as any year in the current run and under performed... and we almost beat them. I have a feeling that we would have beaten MSU w/ Cam.

 

We had good talent in the trenches on defense that year. And much better coaching than Aub. Mullen's spread option with a guy he recruited to play it would have been beautiful. Our receivers sucked big time and our defense outside of our d-line was young. I think Cam could have made up for our lack of offensive production though. Our O-Line wasn't great, but it held together for most games. But who knows how that season would have really turned out. Just shut up and let me enjoy what I think could have been.

 

It's a tough artform to master.

Let's be honest, we don't hate on ND because it's the thing to do. We hate on them because they proved, as we expected and several of us stated all year, that they didn't belong on the field in the BCS NCG. We don't have to hate. The story wrote itself.

For me I hate on ND because no one went there. But because people are catholic or Irish they install claim ND as their school. Pisses me off. Don't know why. Just always have.

And because if they are in the top 12 they automatically get a BCS bid. Its bullshit
