so how would all of you SEC guys felt about WVU being in the SEC rather than Mizzou? A&M was a done deal long ago, but we were sitting in limbo for a while waiting for Slive to make the decision between us and Mizzou. When it came down to it, it was all about tv and population centers within 50-75 miles of campus. We have a HUGE alumni base in DC/NOVA but apparently that wasn't close enough for them

I would've loved to see us in the SEC since i think we fit much better geographically and culturally there then we do in the Big 12, but there is no way that we would be picked as a dark horse national championship contender this year if we were in the SEC.

Mizzou will do better than A&M.

    A&M will go 4-8 maybe 5-7.

Mizzou will go 6-6 and land a bowl game like the Music City Bowl.

What he said... I expect us to. Let's hope the ranking won't go to our heads and cause us to think it's in the bag...:frusty:

I'll be honest...the closer it gets, the more worried I get. I start thinkin back to Boise...and then to Sparty. Big games...we didn't show up. Well...we showed up against Sparty...but we couldn't close it out. The last couple years it seems like we've had problems getting up for big games. Mizzou will be psyched to open up their first SEC game at home. That place will be rockin...I just hope we can handle it.

Don't get me wrong, I expect our defense to dominate and our offense to be enough...I just don't want us to come out flat.

I know what you mean. On one hand I'm not worried, then the other says we need to be ready. Regardless we need to get off to a quick start in that game. If they get some early breaks then who knows how it will go.

I expect our D to be solid, just don't know what to expect from the O line and running game. Who knows what the special teams will look like also? I hate that we are playing them so early and the first ones. I figure after a few SEC games they will get a bit beat up plus lose their enthusiasm. But I'd rather face them in week 2 than SC. I can't wait!

Yyyyyyea...Special teams. They were really "special" last year. Hopefully they've cleaned that aspect up some.

Looks like regular football pants that's been hacked off to me. I'd bet there cooler and less cumbersome than baggie-ass basketball type shorts.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Actually, it is the girdle that holds on to the thigh and hip pads and the cup if they don't want to wear extra junk.

UGA is in pretty good shape as far as schedules go....with the exceptions of USC and Auburn...ya'll have a GOOD chance of running the tables.

I'll be up in your neck of the woods soon.....heading up to Blue Ridge to do a little trout fishing on the Toccoa!!

OK, I get the auburn family thing, but sometimes you can laugh at your family members. These pictures are funny. These leotards can't be THAT much cooler than regular shorts. They can't be.

They're good enough to pull upsets on UGA.

I really havent ever thought about wvu joining, but now that you mention that it wouldnt bother me at all for yall to have joined over mizzou. Im sure before it is all over with, the conferences are going to be set up just like nfl and mlb with super conferences.
