I tried to use the Toyota web site to build a access cab with a 6spd no go. Could not get a 6spd in any Tacoma. I found a 2012 on cars.com with one it was a base 4.0. What's the deal?

Just call the dealer and tell them what you want. They're out there.

Don't trust the "Build Your Tacoma" feature on the Toyota website...it's totally unreliable.

That feature will just help you narrow down what is at the regional dealers, and enroute to them. It has nothing to do with what you can actually build and buy. Its one of the annoying things about Toyota IMO. I wish there was a way to play with the options to see what your dream truck would cost, but they don't really do that.

BTW, I own a 2012 Access cab with a 6spd. They are out there, but an endangered species I'm afraid.
