    hello all....

    I have a 2012 Toyota double cab pre runner w/ sr5 package.

I have some noticeable play in the passenger seat where the back rest is hinged to the hinge that allow you to fold to set something on the back.

It makes a wobble or low pitched rattle when going over bumps...

Just wonder if anyone has had this issue & if they had any luck with Toyota fixing it?

I have not taken it in yet for repair... Thanks all... Abe...

Mine does this too. I think it is the passenger seatbelt buckle bouncing off the side.

    Just getting started.
Thats what I thought it was at first, but it was just the belt buckle rattling on the pillar. Make sure it isn't twisted and lays flat. That bugged the shit outta me for about the first week!

    Thanks for the reply guys....
I've checked the seat belt rattle issue... At first I even taped in down to rule it out.... Then discovered if I grab the upper part of the seat & shake it a bit it produces the exact same noise...
For me the feature of folding the seat forward so I can have a place to set something is a complete waste, I will never use it...
Does anyone know if Toyota makes a seat without that feature? I was thinking if its a option, to see if Toyota will replace the seat with one that is like the drivers side seat....

I'm not sure about that, but you are right about it also being the seat.

When my belt-buckle is flipped, it makes a distinct annoying noise, but then so does the seat itself.

Also, my wife complained about the "texture" of the SR5 seats I have, so I am thinking about getting some leather covers. Found some on the bay for four and a half.

That's a bit pricey, but leather would be sweet.

Mine rattles, too. If I put a hand on the headrest and steady it, the rattle goes away. Gotta find a way to tighten this up, it's pretty annoying.
