I still had fun, especially since every rig drove right by us after each huck. We were having to re-direct spectator traffic the whole time because dumbasses kept stopping and/or getting stuck right where the contestants were turning around.

Let's just say that as a whole, the crowd near me was asking, "That's it?!" throughout the event. That being said, here's something I threw together to show where the 3 biggest hucks stacked up against each other.

Keep in mind also, that the yellow sand rail did that on its first and only huck. Everybody else got 3 attempts.

Oh yeah, you drove right by us afterwards when everyone headed towards the shore. I waved but you had other things on your mind apparently.

Yeah day did feel like a bit of a stinker, atleast for me haha.

-Got stuck on way to comp hill cause sand was way soft and I stopped to avoid nasty crooked drop...spent about 30min straight shoveling in the heat....finally get to comp hill with some help
-Some of the jumps were nice (the white tundy from last year seemed to get the furthest when I was there...), but like others said, lot of time in between jumps. Enough time for the sun to drain ya and the wind to blow sand eveywhere, and in my eyes! (had a teary 10 min sand in both eye episode). I'll come more prepared next time lol

After riding a bit I decided to not drive the truck since I noticed my new carrier bearing was rubbing cause I still need to put these axle relocation plates on. Noone was really at camp....bored, then took a power nap, was lost with Alma for a while, then we decided to bail....

Next time I'll make sure who's goin/turnout. Loooot of driving for solo day trip, watch few hucks, no riding and no hanging out

Maybe next year they can bring a tank and wet the jump up? I saw adam huck couple times! But yeah looked like speed was an issue for everyone :(

Everybody seems to bitch about how soft the sand was this past weekend.... Your in pismo its sand its going to be soft stop making excuses im 2 wheel drive and had no problem its how you drive in the sand... And yes the jump had whoops at the start thats what happens when you hold the event at comp hill they shouldve done it somewhere else but everyone knows where comp is and its not hard to get back there so they did it for the spectators... On the other hand they did wait too long in between jumps i was drunk by the time it was over.... Tried not to offend anyone on here sure i did but hey fuck it thats life

People are bitching about the sand because the last big meet we had in Pismo, which was also the first trip to Pismo for a lot of people, there was quite a bit of rain and the sand was very nicely packed. Even an open diff stock 5 lug first gen on street tires was driving around fine.

Also, use punctuation, I got a migraine reading your post, I have no idea if ... should be a period or comma or both?

Sara is down! +1 for you

Everybody can make it up at HUCK-A-THON in august :D
It wont be as crowded and that gives everybody time to get the sand out of there vijays.

Its all about having a good time. You think Pismo was crowded, deal with a 2WD in glamis during a holiday weekend. You become a 2wd sand expert real fast. Its all how you drive with the conditions you have. So good times come August:cheers:
