If you want quality look into doing your own projectors from theretrofitsource.com. many of the aftermarket projector housings are cheap and aren't much better than your stock ones. also the aftermarket ones usually aren't sealed very well and tend to fog. by doing your own projectors with your stock housing not only will you get a cleaner look but also better light output. and when you construct the projectors you can black out the housing the way you want it

Did you do that to yours? if so was it time consuming? ive heard of people painting the inside of them and sticking them in the oven for a bit.

well i havent done my headlights yet as I am attending a Military Junior College in my home state. but once i have the money and time im definitly going to do it. anyway yes it is one of the steps to put the headlights in the oven to open them up just to break apart the glue holding them together. i dont think others have put them back in the oven to dry the paint although i suppose you could

It can be done in a day if you move quickly and know what you're doing. You need to bake the headlights to get them apart, install the kit and reseal them. If you decide to paint the inside of the housing, that just adds an extra step. After you paint the shrouds, people stick them in the oven to help burn off any paint fumes and the heat helps even out overspray.

I was thinking about buying some TYC's. Doing those the way I want them. And then switching them out when I get some time. But even the cheap knock offs ain't so cheap anymore. They are about 160 a piece.
