QQ - When I am listening to XM I need the volume to be above 35 to make the sound level reasonable - even while parked.

Terrestrial radio is quite a bit louder.

It feels ridiculous that I need to crank the volume up over the 1/2 way mark to listen to the radio.

Is it my radio or what are others seeing in their trucks. In my wife's Bimmer and the family XC90 we never get over 15 on the volume dial....

    Thx

The owners manual tells you how. Don't quote me but i think you press the right button until it says Volume (maybe) then turn it right(channel changer) until it says low - med - high, or something like that.

Owners manual? I use that for propping up the leg of the dining room table ;-) Thanks - will take a peek.

If I'm listening to Alex on the mp3 player I put the radio on 65 (max) and the mp3 player on max as well.

Still can't hear him rant if I crack the windows and that really says something!

At least my Honda had volume to spare. The low-end Toyota headunits may as well be a stock Jeep YJ cassette deck volume-wise.

ASL set at high still won't help with XM volume, it's an issue and I've given up on it

Thanks all - chalk this one up to a minor annoyance. Appreciate the input.
