The rattle is still there but not worse. I have a sloped driveway and have noticed that it only happens when the truck is parked on the steepest part of the driveway, nose in. If I'm on level ground no rattle at all so I'm not paying attention to it anymore.

I noticed a rattle on the right hand side of the front passenger side seat/door area. It sounded plastic-plastic and would have a 2-4 bounce/rattle every time I went over a bump. Started the day I got the truck.

While doing my audio install, I took the cover (plastic interior trim piece) off the lower half of the passenger seat belt. I didnt remove the cover completely, just detached it to run cables. I noticed there are two white plastic snap pins that fit into holes in the frame/body. One was not in all the way....this was the bounce/rattle.

I detached the driver's side and noticed the panel/piece was "in place" a lot better than the passenger side. I could replicate the bounce rattle by undoing one of the snaps.

Hope this helps someone....if you need a pic, lmk via PM and I'll take one when its light out.

This rattle is probably coming from your seat belt attachement arm.

I searched for like a month in mine before I found it. When the squeek happens, just take the seatbelt attachment mechanism, and move the entire assembly up and down all the travel. It will fix it for a week. LOL

Anybody have any answers to the window rattling? It's as bad as my 2002 BMW that had 230k miles. And it's brand new.

I've have this exact same sound that I've been chasing for a year now....I hope this is what's causing my noise, I'll have to check it tonight when I get home.

    Thanks.

Is your sound like a sticky or pulling tape off kind of sound? Hard to describe, mine is not a rattle per se, sounds like the weather stripping sticking and pulling away from door jamb. I went to dealer and got in a '12 and it did the same thing. I think it is the type of weather stripping yota used. I have tried armor all on every piece of weather stripping to no avail.

I had that issue as well on the driver side when I turne the radio up to not even half way, they did not seem to hear it when I took it on but I could! Not to many good things to say about my local Toyota service department but I fixes it myself, love my yota ! Can't have any rattles I'm to picky

Yeah, it sounds like the window is moving in the weather stripping and the weather stripping is moving around with it. I can press the window towards the outside of the truck and the sound stops. I tried using a silicon lubricant on all the weather stripping and it did not help whatsoever.

The damn center of my dash rattles every time I hit a bump. This started with only 1500 miles on the clock. Very annoying. I have an appt scheduled next week at the dealer. I am very skeptical to take anything to these idiots. They normally cause more damage then good. Anyone else experiencing this dash rattle and any remedies out there?

My dash just started rattling as well. If I push on the aircon controls it stops. It seems they're loose on one side. And yeah, I took my truck to the dealer for window rattles and tire vibration and they fixed neither and haven't called me back about it. Best of luck to ya.

My rattle is somewhere in the drivers side door, sometimes. I went from a 1993 Ranger that rattled everywhere to a 2012 Tacoma brand new. The Ranger never really bothered me but every little sound out of the Taco seems so annoying. The 4.0L (and holey exhaust) in the Ranger did a pretty good job of drowning out weather stripping sounds, ha.

hey anyone with 2012 or older hear a noise when accelerating? I have never had a vehicle that ping'd so idk what it sounds like. But on my 12 if i just smoothly roll the throttle on till it shifts i get a wierd rattling sound. i run 91 only in my truck and it still does it... dealer gives me same line every time.. "we cant re-create it so we cant do anythign about it" which i understand but it bugs me..

Toyotas rattle.. it's what they do and have always done. Pro Tip: Never take your dash apart, it makes it worse.
