I just got a 2012 last week and it came without any carepeting as well (just carpet mats I can put down in place of the all weathers). I bought a base V6 4X4 AC. This was in Ontario, Canada.

I factory ordered my truck with the flooring. The salesman and GM all took a look at it when being delivered because they hadn't seen it before. Consensus was it is awesome.

I love it, but no trucks in the mid Atlantic region had it nor were getting it. IMO it is worth it if available 100%. But I wouldn't factory order just for the flooring.

I was at the dealer today...

and the parts dept could not find the vinyl floor covering as a stand alone part. said it is not in their computer. some BS about needing a vin # from a truck that has the vinyl flooring, bla bla bla...

then told me because I currently have carpet, if I was to change out to the vinyl it could void parts of the warranty (air bags, etc)

I almost laughed at their faces.

then...told me, if they could locate the part...it would probably cost around 400-500 dollars for just the flooring, this did not include labor to do the install. they said carpet is about 800 dollars.

at this point...I did laugh a little. I tried hard not to be disrespectful or condescending...I really did. :D

    Larry, that is rediculous.

I will say it again, all weather flooring kicks ass. Definitely not 500 dollars worth of asses though. DIY would be cheaper and better anyhow.

    stupid parts guys were stupid.

the one guy looked like it was his 2nd da on the job...I give a pass.
the other guy went on about his "25 years doing this", and bla bla bla...

I knew it was a waste of my time, so I patronized and walked.

My carpets are always dirty even with my rubber mats. Sand from the ocean, dogs, stains, I freaken hate carpet. Someday down the road my next Taco is going to have this option for sure...
