I have an SAIS failure on my 2013 Tacoma. Code P2442, engine light, limp mode. Is there a flash update or tune available to correct this on a 2013?
My mechanic doesn't find any components failing after looking two separate times. My local Toyota dealer service does not find any warranty coverage for my VIN.
My mechanic quoted $950 just for the SAI replacement with OEM part.
The Hewitt bypass system is half the cost and may be my only option.

There's no update for 13+ that I'm aware of, the stuck open valve code I've found is most often the valve even if it doesn't appear to be stuck open.

If you look at the Air Pump Absolute Pressure and Air Pump Pulsation Pressure PIDs the Absolute Pressure PID should be steady and the Pulsation Pressure should be near zero with the valves closed and pump off.

Just finding this thread after running diagnostics and getting codes P2440 & 2442... after limping my way home after work. No issues on the way to work this morning.

So I'm calling my dealer tomorrow, but if this was only for 10 years after first use, I'm guessing I'm SOL.

SilverComa, get the Hewitt Gen2 bypass kit, it fixed this issue on my 2013. See this thread for more details, SAI bypass from HThewitt

Take it to the dealer 1st and see what they say. If it's no there are other options listed here.
