You're buying a manual because you want a DCSB ?

When I was searching the Toyota dealers in the Chicago area, I rarely found a manual trans Tacoma. If I did find one with a manual trans, it was 2WD. Every 4WD had an auto. Even when using Toyota's build your own, I could not select 4WD and manual.

This just in - Toyota cutting production of the RA60 transmission in an effort to improve the reliability of its Tacoma lineup.

"So was the concern of the forum poster justified? Or was Toyota... just grinding his gears?"

We'll be right back with beyond belief: fact or fiction

I had to search around Colorado to find a 2012 DCSB in a 6-spd. Ended up driving neary 2 hours to a dealership that actually had one. Then they only had one color with nearly identical options.

Nothing available within 500 miles of the St. Louis area with the options I wanted (6MT being one of them) when I was looking. Ended up ordering my truck in early May and received it about 6 weeks later.
