Excellent! Thank you! I figured I would have to ditch the center caps.

They will fit, I'm pretty sure all 6 lug Toyota truck wheels have the same sized hub bore. But the hitch I recently discovered is 2nd gen Tacoma wheels have 5.25" backspacing, which puts the tire further inside than 1st gen Tacoma/3rd gen 4Runner wheels which have 4.6" backspacing. I have 235/85r16's on 2nd gen steelies and recently discovered that the driver's side front tire has been contacting the frame when I turn sharp, even on pizza cutter tires. So the 2nd gen wheels may not be the best choice, especially if you have wide tires. I'm going to try some 1st gen Tacoma or 3rd gen 4Runner wheels to see if that corrects the issue for me.

I will be running bfg at 265/75r16 tires. I had not even thought about the back spacing being different.

I hadn't either, and I had the 2nd gen steelies on for at least a month. For me the tire contact wasn't bad and didn't make a noise, but the other day I turned sharp into a crowded parking space and when I came back to my truck I noticed the scrub mark on the frame. I'm guessing 265/75r16's would be worse, they're about an inch wider than 235/85's.

Yes a lot wider and just a bit shorter. I'd say they will scrub big time.

No problemo. I like useful threads on TacomaWorld, not stupid shit like people asking which douche-bag lift is best for their prerunner.

PS: Let's see some photos! There are quite a few of us weirdos that prefer the 1st gen regular cab.

Here it is. I'm getting rid of my body lift and 33s and hopefully my 15x10 wheels.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
    15x10.. whoa.

BS will def be an issue the 2nd Gen wheels and 265/75... likely rub on the uca (unless aftermarket) and certainly the frame. Look into getting some quality wheel spacers minimum of 3/4", I'd recommend Spidertrax 1.25"

265 is the standard width. going taller will only rub UCA if you wheel hard and full droop your front.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=265-75r16-235-85r16

the 235/85 along with 265/75 is the next size up (~32") and is guaranteed to rub at full turn. If you need to stuff your wheels/tires think about spacers or different back-space and trimming.

as far as hitting the UCAs under normal condition I doubt it. They are 16x7 and are less than 5.25 (the 17x7.5 are 5.25" BS and can be run without spacers)

I may end up going back with aftermarket steelies and 31x10.5. By time I buy the spacers and the 2nd gen wheels and tires I would come out cheaper.

just so you know many run the 265/75-16 with no issues if it's mostly a DD

Good deal. Thanks for the info. It will mostly be street driven. I.e why I dont need nor want the 33s. I found a set of 16" 2nd gen steelies for $25. Im going to see how bad they do scrub on the light offroading I do.

ya, that's one of the reasons I went with ~32s. that and they were C rated vs E rated :)
