If anyone hasn't seen it, here's the new driveline TSB-0249-12 ...

If anyone has had this done with a 2012 that had a 4 spring pack, I'd be interested in hearing if it changed the height of your rear end at all and what the impact was on your ride and load carrying quality.

Looks like a "back-door" method to get a suspension TSB at the same time.

I agree, Changing the trans mount, Swapping out the leaf springs, and adding a steering wheel damper, only tells me, that they really don't know what the root cause of the vibration is. This only masks the problem.

From what I have seen they are swapping out complete spring set up, the new springs appear to be a little thicker.

Brady, is your new drive shaft the Answer? Did it solve all vibrations.
    Thanks and it looks great.
    Cheers

It's like night and day. I hated spending money on something like this, but I love the truck. I'm very happy with the driveshaft. A1 did a great job, It cost me $440. I'm sure other driveshaft co. can make this but most wanted at least $700 plus shipping. We were lucky enough to live near A1. I took my old one out, they took measurements, and a week later I put it on.

Anyone else notice the shudder is alot worse when towing ?....at a stop light if you give it medium to hard acceleration mine only does it a little bit to the point where I don't really notice it , but when towing something heavy it's pretty bad

I wonder if they could make one and install it for me if I drove down one day.

Could u still do a 3 inch lift with that shaft?

Absolutely. It's barely tolerable during normal driving, but as soon as I put my 4000lb TT on, the vibration becomes terrible.

At least I'm not the only one....it gets a lot worse when your closer to 6500 pounds. It's kind of embarrassing a brand new truck does this .

wow, I just moved and used a 6x12 Uhaul....
on the way home towing it empty, I was getting severe shudders until I got up to speed. I mean it was towing that trailer like it was overloaded & it was empty!
It was so bad I was afraid to tow it full so I borrowed a buddys Chevy 1500.
which pulled it like it wasnt even back there even when it was full.
    made me pretty .

Has anyone had the TSB done? I'm dropping the truck off on Thursday to have my tint, clear bra, etc... put on and I'm going to make an appointment for this to be done, too.

subscribing.. trying to figure out if I have the upgraded TSB rear spings or not. 2013 one week old. the rear has 3 leaf springs and one kind of thicker smaller one the bottom of the leaf pack. So there is a total of four its just that the 4th or bottom one is smaller or I should say shorter in length.

I am attempting to see if I have this vib in this truck. When I accelerate from a stop I feel a slight Vib/shudder around 5mph but goes away right away. This truck defininitly does not drive like the other trucks that I have owned, (f150/F250/tundra/dodge and chev). This truck just does not feel as smooth as those did. I trying to determin if this is just the characterists of this truck. Its smooth once I get to speed but if i accelerate it feels like they didnt put in any insulation between the tran area and the passenger compartment.

    I dont know?
