Brought the truck in for my second service and asked the techs to look into a variety of rattles in my truck. I first thought it was from stuff i had stored away in the various compartments but i emptied them all out and still have the rattles. The most noticeable one is in the front passanger door, just rattled over bumps at first but now even while i am idling at a red light i can hear it, seems to be coming from behind the door skin. The dealership tech told me he took the door skin off and tightened everything he could see, but did not find anything loose.

Any thoughts on what it could be ?

I have it too on my front passenger side door.

In a few weeks the doors are coming apart for sound deadening. I ll report what i find.

I am guessing its a wire bundle slapping around a bit.

I'll put money on it that it is the wires behind your glove box to the right of the cabin air filter. Just saying ;)

Um, I had a rattle that was driving me crazy. Turned out to be the passenger safety belt buckle was twisted upside down and rattling against the thing.

Yep same here I had a rattle coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. I tried everything to figure out what it was but ended not finding it. I either got used to it or its gone.

I've got three noticeable rattles in my 2012 dc sb trd. One from the driver's door which I believe is the weatherstrip rubbing the body, one from the passengers door that might be the same thing, and today I just had a very loud rattle coming from the radio area(entune). I owned a 2008 access cab trd before this one and some of the rattles I have now I also had the in 08. It's frustrating because I just got back from driving a rental Nissan frontier about 600 miles and never did hear a rattle and I hop in my truck today and hear plenty of rattles.

2012 DCSB, driver side power window glass rattles with the window part way down I suspect the window regulator. Maybe same as on your passenger side?

I can't figure it out...gonna give it to the dealership for the day and have them rip it apart and find it. As much as i love my Taco i didn't pay $40,000 for a truck that rattles louder than the radio at stop lights.
