I have a 2012 2wd taco with 55K on road easy miles on it. About 5K miles ago I put the 3" spacer lift on (I know I know, resist flaming me here) but after just a few weeks, and right right after alignment it started squeaking. This has progressed to where it is now unbearable, just embarrassing. I have sprayed the LCA bushings with silicone which use to help, but now seems to make no difference at all. Wondering if anybody else has seen this issue with low miles and the truck is in south Texas, no salt on the roads. Also, I can only find how-tos on the first gens so hoping somebody has a write up on a 2nd gen? Any help is appreciated.

Check the torque on the LCA alignment cams. Mine were making noise, figured Id have to take them out and grease the ever living crap out of them. But as I was putting a wrench to them, they were no where near the 100ft-lbs torque rating. I tightened them to spec and the noise went away.

Also, if you do any beach driving or go through brackish water (I do a bunch during duck season), make sure to wash the underside of the truck off, cause that salt will make everything rust.

Where the LCA bolts torqued at ride height after installing the lift? If they are torqued when the wheels are at full droop (i.e. on a lift or jack stands) they will bind.

I highly doubt you need new lca bushings. They're probably just loose. Alignment techs aren't the most skilled mechanics in the trade.

If go get it re aligned. Same thing happened to a buddy of mine recently. He was able to turn the cams with a wrench and light pressure...
