I have a 2012 trd sport with the “upgrade” package that has the sport tuned bilstein suspension. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this suspension is any good for lite off roading. I don’t plan on hitting any trails that are too crazy anytime soon. Should I just toss the suspension that it on it now and replace it with 5100’s? I’m only looking at lifting it maybe 3” if needed.

    Thanks.

Tacoma’s will get you to lots of places in stock form and is very capable without a lift. Just spend that money on some good all-terrains if you’re only going to be doing light off-roading

    What above said.
If you are 4wd you should be more than capable for many trails with some good all-terrain tires.
Even 2wd and good tires will get you many places.
Get a tow strap (& a buddy) and/or some recovery boards if you want some reassurance!
See what the limitations are of what you want to do with the truck !

Sounds good. I won’t get too crazy yet. Thanks a lot.
