Hello everyone, I could really use some help on my truck. I have a 2012 Tacoma, V6 4 cylinder with about 120K miles. I am having an intermittent problem with the A/T Oil Temp light. I will drive the truck on normal roads for short periods of time. I will shut the truck off, go into a store, and come back out and the truck won't start. The engine is cold. I have all the power on the dash and it will crank, but never turn over. I tried to jump the truck, but no help. I have had it towed to the dealership twice, the problem is each time they go to work on it, it magically starts running again. Then 2 weeks later it will break again. The only indication or code is that the A/T Oil Temp light come on. I have been trying to get it to "break" again so it can be looked at, but it stops working randomly with no rhyme or reason as to when that is going to happen. I did notice a strong gas smell yesterday for the first time when it started up. Occasionally when I start it up it sounds "choky" but that also comes and goes. Any help would be appreciated.

Could you take a picture of that engine for me? I have never seen a V6 4cylinder.

Have you checked it for codes?
Does the security light next to the clock blink with the key on when the truck won't start?
If you have no codes and no security light blinking when it won't start have someone bang on the bottom of the fuel tank while your cranking and see if it starts, if it does then most likely your fuel pump is on it's way out.
