The idea is to help out w/ traction when you are trying to go slow and careful - where LSD doesn't work real well.

If you are giving it plenty of throttle (lots of wheel spin) and the auto LSD isn't working then I would think you have a problem with your system.

You said you got two tires (1 front and 1 back) off the ground while going up hill and couldn't get any traction while using plenty of throttle - are you certain that the other tires weren't spinning or you just making this assumption because you weren't going anywhere? Was a spotter verifying that the tires weren't spinning?

When you had the truck jacked up w/ auto LSD did you give it any throttle or just put it in gear and watch one tire spin while it didn't put throttle to the other wheel. Did you give it any throttle?

Oh great so you would have been pretending that you going offroad instead of pretending that you have fast truck :D

Well I did presume if you hit that button with a tire off the ground it would transfer the power from the freely spinning tire to a tire with traction and you could move forward but I guess im wrong to!

Yes I did have a friend outside watching and the two tires with traction did not move. When jacked up I did hit the gas to I would guess 3000RPM max and nothing. Even just tried a little while ago in 2wd with one tire spinning and hit 4000rpm and got nothing

Wanted the off road package but also wanted a double cab 4x4 long bed so it was my only option.

Somethings wrong - that's an open differential, not TRAC/Auto LSD.

Curious, when you had it jacked up did you try it in 2wd TRAC mode (just the way it comes on when you start it)?

Like I said I was told at the dealership that for 2012 its a new thing so ya I may be wrong but dont see any posts that say a 2012 doesn't come with it. When I had it jacked up I tried in every way i knew. Tried just starting the car and driving, hit the button with "auto LSD" on, held down the button for the other settings and none made any difference.

Is that what you taking? I think my wife got those. Are you taking them because dealership sold you TRD offroad and then you realized mall curbs are too tall :D for ATRAC
