No such thing as a 4x4 Prerunner

Sports do have TRAC , they do not have ATRAC

That brochure is straight from toyota that says they are all standard on the 4x4/prerunner for 2012. I understand they were not before but I keep trying to explain that I was told this is something new for 2012

Of course I didnt originally go off what he said until he showed me that part in the brochure. I already planned to buy the truck that was just a bonus. SO you are all saying that although my truck has a button and lights up "auto LSD" that all of that means absolutely 0 and it is still completely an open diff? I see lots of static from everyone but nobody seems to have an answer like me hence me asking the question. So you are all basically saying TOYOTA BSed there buyers making them think the "auto LSD" was actually something even though it does absolutely nothing???

You are still confusing TRAC with ATRAC

Ok so please explain trac and a trac. I felt that either one would transfer the power from the completely free tire to the tire with traction hence my truck move forward when one tire jacked. Like I said before i could get out of the truck and physically move it very easily with one hand but the truck could not move on its own so my diff was completely open

Ha have heard no beeping so I still got ripped off!

ya I did click the link. I know exactly how they work. Trac is basically traction control. So again why does my truck have a button that allows me to turn on "auto LSD" if it does absolutely nothing? Like I said Im not an idiot but am also not getting any straight answers back other than im obviously wrong and no one explaining what "auto LSD" does. Have somewhat heard "auto LSD" turns on trac. OK thats getting somewhere except I know that trac is always on on my truck so why the button??

Auto LSD is stronger TRAC in 2WD only.

OHHHHHH so now the ALSD does something! OH wait it does exactly what I thought it was supposed to do. Auto LSD does what? Just limits my one freely spinning tire but doesnt transfer any power to the tire that has traction??? I have taken my truck out to the desert atleast 10 times and have played (even read up on it in between) and have had 0 signs of it doing anything. If I do a burnout in the desert with it on only one tires roosts, I have gotten stuck and only the free tire spins, I have gotten stuck in 4wd and only the 2 free tires spin, I have jacked my truck up in the driveway (that is completely flat) and played with all the settings and still no sign of it doing anything.

I never said I had full lockers or anything crazy but I also feel that if im off roading and one tire gets off the ground on completely flat ground that I should be able to move forward which as of now I cannot. You all are so smart but notice you all are giving different answers. I realize I may not have a trac but I felt that I had something similar (maybe instead of splitting the power 50/50 it could just split it 98/2 which is all I would have needed to move on my driveway
