So I got in my truck yesterday after a hot day at work. My ac didnt come on. Called the dealership and asked their opinion .....the said blower motor resistor, I bought the part. Unplugged wire harness from resistor, couldnt remove resistor due to not having the proper tools. Plugged harness back in and said screw it. Came back out later, ac was working fine. Then today, while driving. Ac cut off for a,second and came right back on. Any ideas ?

Also, had my phone charger plugged in , and I got in my truck and the tip of the usb was burnt and melted to a rag i keep in there.

Loose connections act as a heater and melt stuff. That is your problem(s).

Look closely at the AC Blower connector to see if you have a burned connector. If you do you are getting an intermittent / loose connection. The harness will need to be replaced / repaired.

The same holds true for your USB that is burned. Loose.

I got the same problem in my truck 2007 Tacoma. My resister in the blower seems to be the culprit. the outer part of the resister is cracking and not looking good.
