I just recently replaced my 2010 tacoma with a 2012. Its a black TRD sport with a double cab. Looking to put a 3" or 6" lift on it and some wheels. Looking for opinions and photos before i decide what i want to do. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Im not looking to take it into trails and stuff everyday, daily driver. Just want to lift it a little bit and put some nice wheels on it.

There's a couple dudes that lifted their '12 6 inches. One guy is wizard and I forget the other one. Do a search in the suspension section.

    Here's a pic of my 2012 with a Fabtech 6" DB Lift

let me know if you have any questions...

I opted for the Dirtlogic Coil overs and shocks. Rides very good for a lifted truck.

3 in lift is best id say.any higher its more $ and you have to get extenders for this and that. And I thing a 3 looks better.

Wanted to try throwing a nice deal out on the Fabtech 3" DB kit ... but they are backordered on the coilovers at the moment. Gonna be a few weeks.

How much was your lift and how much did it effect your gas mileage? Thanks!

The lift is around $3k for the Dirt Logic Coil over & Rear shock option. Good prices from mudflaps.com

Gas mileage has suffered as expected with 35" tires, and the extra weight and wind resistance of the lift. Getting an estimated 14-16mpg -- still need to get my speedometer/odometer adjusted to reflect the tire size diff.

Thanks! I'm only getting around 250 miles to a full tank with just 3" but I have the heavy bumpers and full size spare mounted in the bed.
