    Thought I'd cross post this.

Well it's been a while, but I thought I'd update, got the conversion all done (skid isn't installed in the pic though), I did find a few little things I didn't see mentioned on the other threads.

1 you need two brackets not mentioned often, they are the plastic brackets that hold the front lower part of the head lights, you also be a little bracket, screw and nylon nut that the front part of the filler below the headlight clips into (one for each side)

2 the plugs for the fogs ARE NOT THE SAME, I got the LED projectors for the 2015, ended up getting some weather proof connectors and using them (solder and crimp) instead of the OEM

3 noticed there are not any fog align instructions, you want to park the truck 25' from a wall, measure the height of the fogs off the ground (24" for me), go to the wall and put a mark 4" below that, so for me it was 20" up, set your cut off to that.

4 the 4 hood bolts are tapered and center align, you're going to need new non taper bolts (per Toyota hood alignment instructions) to get things looking OEM, also smart to keep a little vial of paint from your hood and bumper to paint the bolt heads after you're squared.

5, forget ordering ANY brackets by year, every place screws it up, find a new style Tacoma, write down its VIN and use that, for some reason parts people get it right off a VIN but it's like a monkey humping a football when you give them year and model.

Elaborate about this please. My hood will not close, also where did you get new non taper bolts?

Just pull one of the hood bolts (hinge to hood) and get a matched normal bolt and washer from where ever

Centering bolts are used to mount the hood hinge and hood lock. The hood and hood lock cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute standard bolts (w/ washers) for the centering bolts when making adjustments.

    ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSY
    (a) Adjust the hood position.
    (1) Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the hood side.
    (2) Move the hood and adjust the clearance between
the hood and front fender. Make sure that the clearance
    is within the standard range.
    Standard: 4.4 +- 1.5 mm (0.173 +- 0.059 in.)
    (3) Tighten the hood side hinge bolts after the adjustment.
Torque: 30 NVm (306 kgf cm, 22 ft lbf)

    (b) Adjust the cushion rubber so that the heights of the hood
    and the fender are aligned.
    (1) Raise or lower the hood front end by turning the
cushion rubber. Make sure that the clearance is
    within the standard range.
    Standard: 0.3 +-1.5 mm (0.012 +-0.059 in.)

HINT: Raise or lower the cushion rubber by turning it.

    (c) Adjust the hood lock.
    (1) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock release lever protector
    No. 2.
    (2) Loosen the 3 bolts.
    (3) Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker can
    enter it smoothly.
    (4) Tighten the 3 bolts after the adjustment.
Torque: 12 NVm (122 kgf cm, 9 ft lbf)
    (5) Install the hood lock release lever protector No. 2.
Torque: 12 NVm (122 kgf cm, 9 ft lbf)

I am attempting to convert a 2006 single cab with manual to the 2012+ facelift. Here is a pic of the single cab next to my 05 TRD OR with Prinsu Rack. Yep, I am blessed to have two TacomasIMG_4573.jpg

Is the hood not the same dimensions on the 05-11 vs the 2012?
Looking at the pics, it looks like they are very identical.
Let me know because I've very interested in doing the conversion. Have a 2010 and looking to put on the 2012/13/14 front on it!

You will need the hood, the grille rises higher above the headlights than a preface lifted truck. Looks similar but not totally identical

Hood bolts right up and matches body lines-BUT as Oreo Cat says, Grille is different shape and must also be swapped out.
*As well as frame/support structure below grille, and hood latch mechanism. Let us know if you need a thread for reference.

Actually you do need the subframe 3 piece; as it supports Headlights and Grill. I also had to relocate the vertical support(lower attachment) that sits behind the grille at the bottom, to support the grille-OR ORDER that piece as well.
Depending on whether or not you want the "headlight filler" pieces, (for fill in-cosmetic) You will have to figure out a solution for these as well...**Only If you are not running fiberglass fenders-IF NOT,this will NOT apply.

Some of the plate bumpers(Pelfrey) have the "ears" to hide that little area under the headlight where it meets the grille...
We made a piece to fill in on my application

Hey Im trying to do this conversion as well, just curious, what exactly are the parts you mentioned in #7?

7.YOU WILL ALSO NEED THE LH/RH FRONT LINERS AND
    FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION, LH/RH
    ; PAD, PLEASE SEE PICS.
I DIDNT BUY THEM, I DONT THINK I THEM. IT LOOKS JUST FINE WITHOUT THOSE PARTS.

Im not quite sure what is meant by Front Linger and Front Wheel Opening Extension. Thanks!

Here’s my unfinished conversion! I used all 2005-2011 mounting points. I will have to get a 2012-2015 part for the headlight mount so that I can also install the headlight filler. Still need the hood but I’m able to still temporarily run the 2005-2011 hood with a nice little gap.
