For those doing the front end conversion, how do you get DRL to work. Is running an extra wire required? Also, I'm guessing it is necessary to install a new turn signal stalk with DRL on the headlight switch?

If you're talking about something like this it's plug and play with manually engaged DRL, no extra wires.

If you meant the automated DRL mod for the brighter lights, that's this mod using a kit.

I am planning to use OEM headlights. I thought they had DRL, right?

They do. You don't have to change anything if you want the stock DRL. The headlights are plug and play.

Wouldn't I at least need a new stalk on the column with the DRL light position?

No, the 2012 didn't have it, that was added in 2013 and let's you turn gen on or off. My old 2010 had DTRL that you couldn't turn off

Ok, just one more question. If I put headlights from a 2015 on my 2007, the DRL will stay on all the time?

Not sure, the lights will function exactly as the ones you have now because the plugs and bulbs are the same.
    Do you have DTRL now?

Then you won't have it post conversion either unless you do the flasher relay mod. Adding the 2013 stalk that lets you turn the DTRL on and off is probably more work than reward.

When buying the fender liners, be sure to buy the correct ones. There are differences depending on whether or not you have fender flares.

In case anybody wanted a quick reference guide on what you need to buy with working ebay links
, I just put this together today with everything I used on my truck so there's no guarantees the items won't sell out in the future.

    Headlights -

    Hood -

    Hood Scoop -

    Hood Scoop Grille -

    Grille -

    Hood Latch Support -

    Hood Latch -

    Fog Lights -

    Headlight Mount Tabs (You'll need 2x) -

Plastic Mount Tab For Bumper Fillers (You'll need 2x) -

Lower Bumper Brackets Inner (You'll need 2x) -

    Lower Bumper Brackets Outer -

    Upper Bumper Retainer RIGHT -

    Upper Bumper Retainer LEFT -

Front Bumper, Reinforcement, Left and Right Upper Support Brackets, Center Support Bracket, Headlight Fillers, Bumper Flares, Bumper Grille -

    Bumper Flare Clips -

Other things you'll need are the clips/nuts to hold the hood scoop bulge on.
You'll also need metal rivets to attach the bumper brackets to the reinforcement.

Also if you want it here is the TRD Pro grille insert -

And finally, it's not a requirement and I didn't replace mine, but if you want the fender liners to fit to the bumper properly you'll need these.

    LEFT -

    RIGHT -

    Clips For Liners
    (Because they will break) -

How long have you had your headlights installed? I'm considering that style but I'm worried they will yellow over or peel faster than OEMs. I was going to try the OEM Pro lights but they are a dark grey, not black. I have TacomaBeast lights and they have been fine for a year but I think halogens are brighter with a reflector rather than projector.

I was looking at the same set on Tacoma beast, only reason I didn’t go with them is because I wanted a set of lights without orange marker reflectors. These I bought off eBay and probably won’t last as long as OEM but as of right now seem to be holding up. They’ve been installed almost a year.

I really like the look of those, I just bought 'em so if they've been OK for a year that makes me feel better. I'm going to seal the edge just in case. Too lazy to BHLM my OEM lights or I'd go that route instead.

Ordered everything to do this yesterday. With a nice raptor style grille insert with tacoma lettering and 30" light bar for the bumper it was right over $1500 in parts. Not too bad! And since my dad owns his own autobody shop, i will be painting and installing it all myself :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

Still looking for a hood it’s all I lack. How many people are ordering the hoods from eBay? Are they all coming damaged or are some of you guys lucky and not have any damage. Looking for hood with scoop since I already have the scoop insert sitting in its package.
