Dude that's awesome news! Nice to know there's an alternative to the $$$ OEM option.

Anyone ever did this with a silver taco? Wondering since some people say the silver is just a tad different color

I'm actually in the process of doing it right now. The the color we have is silver streak Metallic. The 2012+ color is silver streak mica I believe. I should have everything on and painted in the next couple weeks

I do have one question as I have already purchased all the brackets and front end parts I need, do I need to buy hardware such as nuts and bolts or can I reuse the bolts and nuts I take off the old front end?

So far how much money have you spent on this project? Also where did you find a silver hood and bumper cover?

So far I'm in $1300. All the parts I have are OEM though. You can go cheaper by going aftermarket but I found pretty good deals on here and Craigslist for the grille, bumper cover, and headlights. I did go aftermarket with the hood from rockauto.com but from other reviews the hood fits like OEM. Because the 2012+ silver is different from ours, doesn't really matter what color you get because you will have to paint match anyways. I haven't for a quote to paint my front end yet but I'm guessing my end project price with be around $2000 with paint. Hope that helps.

I read through this and still confused. I want to put a pelftriy plate bumper on my truck. So from what I read correct me if I'm wrong I need a hood, headlights, grille, and some bracket to support the headlight ( not sure the part number). Everything is reusable. Are the headlight plug and play??
