If you keep your truck long enough it will accumulate myriad scratches and dings, it is a truck after all. If you are keeping your 4x4 Tacoma pretty you are not using it to its full potential.

someone backed into mine, I only had it a week. Left two really small dimples on the rear bumper. :(
I was in Cola too... (not that it had anything to do with it, right? lol)

Scratching my OWN truck because I use it like a truck has nothing to do with inconsiderate morons smashing other peoples things then not sticking around to make it right. Title of the thread isn't I nicked my truck hauling lumber. . .

I suppose you could always do like the guy here and Rhino your entire truck. I actually think it looks sort of neat, and if my Dad's pickup bed is any indication the stuff should last for a long long time.

My sloppy fat co worker waddled out his f-150 n slammed his door into my truck and caused what I consider decent damage. I told his fat ass to not worry until I could figure out if the scratches will come off with scratch x. My truck is nlack and has two 4-5 inch white scrapes now. Im getting my rock rails on tomorrow but had em ordered three days b4 this event.

I agree 100%. My truck is 6 years old now and I have all sorts of scratches in my bed and tailgate from hauling this and that. I also have a good sized rock chip on my windshield. My interior is in decent shape, but you can tell that it has been used. We do use our trucks and we do scuff them up from time to time, but we'd rather scuff our trucks by ourselves rather than getting help from someone that's oblivious or who doesn't care about other people's property.

Word. If i drove some late 80s jalopy that was rusted through it would still bug me when people are inconsiderate. I will never understand people who are oblivious to others.

i also feel your pain! some immature asshole(s) egged my brand new 2012, i had it for all of 3 months and i come out one morning and my drive way is covered in eggs. apparently they're horrible shots because there had to be at least a half dozen eggs in my drive way but even assholes get lucky sometimes and two eggs ended up hitting the back of my truck. i was livid of course and ended up washing my truck and i found out they threw the eggs so hard they scratched the paint pretty deep. not just white streaks, i see grey. luckily you have to get up close to see the extent of the damage but still, if i find them i plan on testing out the durability of my avid light bar on their faces, haha.

I don't have a 2012 but my 08 just got side swiped last night. My daughter went to the movies to see the midnight showing of "The Hunger Games". When she got out, someone came over and gave her the Licance plate # of the person that did it. I'm SOOOOO Pissed. Going to the police station today to file a report.

That seems like a pretty stupid thing to confess on the internet, or do for that matter.

yes it was, and the shop still has to replace my front fender, now they got more work to do. Ok, I removed my confession of what I might end up doing to this persons car. But I'm still Pissed off. The insurance guy said that I might have to pay the $500 deductable. I want them to go after the person, misdemeanor Hit and run, sue for the cost of fixing my truck and If i can. Emotional distress for my daughter, she didn't want to come home. I know it wasn't her fault. Luckly someone got the drivers licence plate # and brief description of the driver.
