I live in Texas and my dealership had plenty of those for the 2011s. I think they are 16" and they cost around $700.

The chrome grill looks alot better on the '12 than it did on the previous front end imo.

Just got an email from a volume dealer here in Houston, wanted you guys to see it:

so, $27,800.00 for the truck I want, straight from the horses mouth. I was hoping to get closer to the neighborhood of $26k but that may have been wishful thinking on my part.

does anyone see anywhere in there that there might be some negotiating room on the price?

Are you trading anything in? If so, there is a lot of room for negotiation.

If you are not, you can still try and negotiate them down. Others on here are getting them for several hundred below invoice.

KBB says retail is 14k and trade is 10k, so somewhere in between. 10k seems awfully low to me, but it isa a 4cyl so I don't know how much demand there is. It also has a 3" suspension lift, but I don't expect to really get anything for that. Thinking about putting the stock suspension on before I sell, but who knows if I'll feel like putting in the effort.

 

Run it through NADA and see what you come back with - most of the dealerships I've ever bought from, and the one I worked at, use NADA more than KBB.

Just by going with KBB, I would say go in asking for $14,000 for your truck and $27,250 on the new truck. Once they get within $500-$1,000 of that, tell them you'll do the deal but you're not paying any fees outside of tax/tags.

If they don't have any 2012's on the lot, this will be much more difficult...so it might be in your best interest to wait until there are more of them around. But it'd be worth a shot now.

Don't forget to shop around either. Get a written deal from one dealership, then go to the next one and tell them to beat it, and repeat. Sometimes you can save around $500-$1,000 by doing this, and other times you lose money on gas.
