Thanks for telling us veterans how we should buy our trucks..J/K. USAA really does help a lot with no haggle. My friend went through USAA for a BMW he was looking for and got it for $6,000 less. USAA found it listed for the wrong price, held the dealer to it and they did all the talking. All he did was show up with the money.

I do agree with SAIRS that this thread is beginning to turn to crap with digressions. I wish there was more 2012 info to report. Since I'm already posting...What do you all think about the Nautical blue metallic supposedly comming in 2012? I guess they don't want to bring Indigo Ink pearl, but Nautical blue is close. I kinda like it.

When I looked at it on the tundra site it appeared to be the same color as the one I drove for a few weeks when they first came out. It's a good looking color that actually went well with the chrome accents on the limited. I would say it has a middle aged/ professional vibe to it. It would also be the only color I would buy a tundra in.

Nautical Blue imo will be best color on the Tacoma.
i don't know how popular it'll be with buyers, it is probably hardest color to maintain, worse than black, there will be loooots of swirls on them from people that have no clue how to wash them that's for sure.

it's also a color that changes with shades very much, at night can look as black easily...
would be my #1 and only choice atm out of available colors

^ Haha looks exactly like Indigo Ink...or it could just be my computer screen. Very nice color though. Also one of the most common colors on the older 2nd gens in my area.

It may be the most common color in my garage in January but we will see.

I was just thinking that since the Tacoma and Hilux where both refreshed in 2005, that they would contain similar changes for 2012. Since a lot of what has been said in this post is regards to minor tweaks and a new front end for the Tacoma, that this would support that. Guess I could be wrong though.

Good find. It seems like everything we have heard up to this point is similar to what hs been publicly released with the Hilux except a new engine. (front clip to include hood, fenders, bumper heeadlights, grill, mirrors and even different colors). It is surprisingly similar to what we have heard for the next Tacoma. Still hope the engine makes the cut. the Hilux in the article is similar to the Nautical blue metalic that we think will be offered as well. While they are two different trucks that will probably never drive the same road, the similarities are close from Toyota and may be a better referance to change than simply assuming the Taco will take after the 4Runner...again, good find.

woah that hilux front end looks similar to highlander one...earlier in this thread i was curious which direction will they go highlander or 4runner with the tacoma redesign, i'd bet it's the highlander even though that's not a popular model around here...
my bet would be they don't change the MY2012 exterior, only MY2013 as late spring/early summer next year...
they could introduce a MY2013 even on January 1st 2012 and still be considered 2013 as far as technical aspect of it...

maybe couple more weeks for concrete info...

I doubt that, the hilux already looked highlander-ish. The tacoma shared some styling with the 4runner.

Wouldn't that just SUCK for you if the truck is changed in 2012 and you like it more than your 2011? I would be in denial too!
