Someone photoshop the Tundra "T" logo onto the front grille. I think it will look right at home.

Looks alright.Looks like they added a 4runner style bumper and different mirrors. Bring on the True nextgen truck. They did to the Taco what they just did to the Carolla.Make it fresh for a couple yrs till the real next truck rolls out.

Wow, Toyota dropped the ball on that one. 7years for this?

I hope the video is inaccurate but it looks legit to me. Not sure why it took so long to get out.

The front end looks like it is missing pieces the way the lights are mounted....and the sides of the bumper are fugly with the fender line continuing down. What a waste of time, should have left it alone until the full redesign. Maybe 2015.

why the hell did they interupt the flow of the headlights with that black thing? That right there ruins the front of the truck for me. I have some thinking to do.

If you watch the video and pause it during the portion where the people are taking out their ATVs and bikes you can see that the blue Taco also has the new front end.

The white base model has the older front end. I think it was just added to make the commercial seem more realistic (you know, not all your buddies have 2012 Tacomas...)

My guess is that this video is legit... If it is a fake why take the time to make the hardly seen Taco edited, but the white one left the old style?

Well if that is the 2012, then I have the same reaction to it when I first saw the current gen: I don't like it. However the current gen grew on me to the point I have been wanting one for the past 3 years. So I don't know how I would feel about it until I see it in person. Or some official pics and video.

Maybe he should be talking about this in a less than obvious and less well known section on TW. I guess everyone is into their own kind of thing .

Wonder why they did not use the duel VVT as used in the 4Runner? Why should they when the V6 will no longer be an option in 2014.You will see a base 2.7 4 cyl. and a optional 2.0 turbo 4 cyl. cranking out about 275 HP and getting 26 or better MPGs. Look what Ford has done with their F150 ecoboost.New cafe standards is phasing out V8s in full size and V6s in smaller trucks. This is only my opinion with no facts to back it up.

Hard to say on the new aesthetics without seeing it in person.

Personally, I prefer the broad-shoulder, flat-faced bulldog look of the 05 to 11 trucks. This new one, at least in the video, gives me too much of a "highlander with a bed" vibe.

The 2gen front end was also easier to convert to something clean looking. This thing is going to be a fucking mess to get color-matched and grille'd.

You know the black thing between the Grill and Headlight will be the next BHLM on this site. Likely color matched or something if the Sport Package doesnt take care of that. I do like the looks of the the fog lights and the lower bumper. Cant wait to see what they do with the Sport Package. The Chrome grill has never worked for me. Sorry Offroad guys...
