Yeah I was wondering who was going to chime in with that. All of those things are dealer installed stuff on 2011 as well. My local dealer has one with nav, leather, bull bar, black wheels, and side steps and they tally up to $37k. The reason they only offer the nav with non jbl is due to the aftermarket interface with the jbl stuff as well as incompatibilty to still utilize the oem blueteeth. This list is nothing to get excited about...

Brian UNC...yes I was referring to his signature....only when I first saw it I didn't recognize it as his signature....

I know there's some trash-talk on here, but I avoid that type of banter....

To SAIRS....No Harm No Foul!!! I should have backchecked the thread...I don't visit this every day and thought I made the great discovery.....

The only thing on that list that I'd really want to spend money on would be the Digital Backup Sensors (Sonar). No way in hell I would spend over $1,000 for leather in a pickup truck. Wet Okole's FTW.

I have always preferred stand-alone navigation (versus in-car) and I think the stock stereo sounds just fine.

Either way, it looks like the 2012 is going to be a step in the right direction for the Tacoma's.

Yep, the more I see and learn about the 2012s the more I am liking them (won't be getting one, but after 72 pages of this thread it's nice to get a final pay off that is satisfying!) :)

I know some claim it's fugly... but come on folks... it's more like the 2005-11s than it's not. The changes are subtle and evolutionary... not revolutionary. I predict many that say they don't like it will end up owning one eventually! :)

So... 2013? All new? I don't think so... I am thinking this look will be given 3 years. Look for an all new gen3 Taco in 2015!:D

Why would you need sonar back up sensors when you have a back up camera ?

I agree it is a step in the right direction. I am satisfied with the drivetrain in my Tacoma and even though I would prefer a six speed auto and more power I don't really need either, and I probably would not notice any difference in my daily driving. I am stoked about the etunes. Those types of systems are capable of some pretty amazing things. It is funny how fast things changed, five years ago an auxiliary input was considered awesome, now I am pissed that we don't have full ipod integration. Being able to stream pandora via blueteeth on the etunes system will be nice as well, probably negating the need for XM for a lot of us...

There have been a few times in low light/Florida downpour conditions where a little extra insurance would have been nice.

Is it a necessity? Clearly not. Would I consider adding it to a new truck? Sure.

Does anyone know what that black section on the front bumper is made of? I hope it's not ordinary plastic.

Looks cool. Clearly just a face lift to the existing truck. It appears that hood, front bumper, grill and face of the truck are new. To me this says that the rest of the truck is gonna be around for at least a few more years.

Those pics have been up in a few other threads for a few days .

I'm undecided on the new look .

x2, I think in a couple years they'll make a couple tweaks to it and it'll look much better. I think it looks ok in that pic, just hasn't grown on me yet.

^It's probably one-piece with the rest of the bumper cover, just painted a different color.

I'd be more worried about the small air dam pieces in front of each front tire. Trimming it will probably be a common mod once the 2012s become popular.
