It was manufactured in a factory of some sort, no doubt.

TRD offroad prerunner: best guess for list price will = $30,000
TRD offroad 4x4 double cab fully loaded=38,500... maybe more depending on location. This thing loaded with leather (not ma thang) and entune will assuredly cost more than the average price of a taco now.

Limo Tint all the way around, tailgate theft mod, Console Vault, EGR vent visors, debadged emblems, TRD door emblems, Sockmonkey TOYOTA tailgate sticker, OME 3" lift w/aal, BAMF sliders, BHLM, MKW offroad M88 black 18" wheels.. for now..
Thats my concern... I was emailed today by the fleet manager at my nearby Toyota dealership that the Taco they get shipped to them might not have the Entune. She said that she has the 2012 Taco 4x4 DC/LB/TRD Sport allocated to her dealership but now she's trying to get it fitted with the Entune and so far to no avail. She says she's still trying but there's a chance it might not come with Entune..:( So then I'm trying to figure out if I should just wait to get one fitted with the Entune, go do a different dealership that does have one with Entune, or just get it as it is and add an aftermarket nav/DVD/stereo? I think it'd be so much nicer having the Entune integrated already but it's gotta be a pretty expensive option I bet.. is it just better to go aftermarket?? hmmm. decisions decisions...:pout:

Coastalboy.......not to change the subject, but do you have ANY insight on the 2012 FJ Cruiser? I know they will be identical to the current MY but I was wondering when they would be available or when info would be out for them. Also, will Entune be an option for them as well?

Sorry for the info hassle........competent sources are hard to find!!

    Thanks man.

    Hey Coastalboy,

As a general manager, can you tell me when I can walk into the dealership and actually order a truck?

I will likely just do aftermarket, because this will be hella expensive. For $600 you can get a really nice DDIN nav unit.

Does this just mean that the trucks will be in your systems, but not for sale yet? If so, when could we see them being for sale?

I'm really curious because I ordered a 2011 from a dealership and it was supposed to be in last Tuesday. I was told that it would be in today, but still haven't heard anything about it. If it doesn't come in today, I was thinking about cancelling my order and waiting for a 2012.

Generally, as soon as it "is in the system", it means they have all of the information from Toyota on it and they can start taking orders.

That's just from my sales experience with Toyota years ago.

I just got off the phone with a dealership in Cleveland, Tennessee and I was told that they are supposed to start production on the 2012 Tacoma PreRunners around the first week of September. Then it should be about 7 weeks or so before they get to the dealership. The 2012 Tacoma 4x4 aren't supposed to start production until mid to late September.

By the way, the dealership said they still don't have any specific information about the 2012s yet.

I won't lie - it was pretty cool that the President of Toyota (Mr. Toyoda...how cool is that?) was there to introduce it.

What sucks, is that I don't ever see them doing that for the Tacoma. :(
