The looks of the 2012 just makes me want to put 200,000 more miles on my 06!!!

I still laugh at all the ugly comments though. For the most part it looks the same as before except some slight tweaks to the nose which aren't that drastic in my opinion. It appears people really want to hate on the updated look just because they can. Yes the grill is smaller and the bumper has an added line to it and the fogs are slightly different but it's not that drastic. Hell, if you think this one is ugly and you own a second gen you must think your own sh*t is ugly too. Slightly different? Yes, Ugly? No, unless you just don't like the second gens in general.

 

I don't think my truck is ugly , but the 2012 front end is most definitely a step in the wrong direction on the ugly scale

 

I own a second gen and I like the way it looks however I don't care for this revised version. I don't care for the new curves and sharp edges they chose for the front end. I can't tell any difference anywhere else with the pictures that are available. The grille has a Tundra look, the valance and fogs have a 4runner look to them. On their respective vehicles those features look good but to mix them up on the Tacoma I don't care for it.

 

I dunno, I don't think it's that bad. I think guys need to look past the Chrome grill surround too. I don't think the chrome does anything for these trucks even the 2011 and earlier trucks look bleh to me with the chrome surround. I think painted the same color as the body and slap a mesh grill on this thing, I think most people would warm up to it pretty quickly. Like I mentioned earlier I don't think it's that big a change for it to be getting so much hate.

 

It's not the chrome , it's the new ugly lines

 

I think it will grow on me as it likely will on others. But based on first impression, I don't care for it. When I look at it I see 3 vehicles mixed together. I think a corporation should be able to make different looking vehicles. No sense in mixing them all together like this.

I don't spend a lot of time on here so thanks to your repost, I was able to see these pictures.

To comment on the looks of the version pictured, FUGLY!
First of all, I've never liked the single cab. And what the hell is wrong with that bumper!? that shit looks hideous on that truck! It just doesn't fit the rest of the truck. It looks like the truck was involved in a front end accident and they replaced the grill, bumper and headlights with those of a different vehicle.

Maybe... just maybe it'll look better on a different model.

Instead of changing the front grill, why not add two measily lights for the bed? Incredible!
