Obviously biased, but I can't help but think the new one looks a lot like a bloated catfish.

With regards to most anything, change takes some getting use to. Not completely sold on the front end.

I reserve judgement till I see it with an ARB on it.

    Looks worse.
Everytime Toyota keeps changing the body style on the tacomas it seems like the trucks get worse. I still think the 1st gens were the best year.

I think the original 2nd gens look the best overall.

The first generation double cabs looked weird to me. The second gen double cabs look better.

Access cab of first and second gen look great.

The update on the 2012 Tacoma hardly changes anything.

What I don't like is the look of the new 4runner. The last gen looked so much better!

i was not sure about the 2012 then i went to see it and it looks a lot better in person. the interior is the best part in my opinion.

Got a 2011 Double Cab and then found TW and learned an "update" for the 2012 Tacos was coming and I was pissed. Figured I just bought a new truck and would want the 2012. Then I found the photos of the 2012 and I don't like the front end at all. Joy is back.

BTW, son is driving our 99 pre-runner with 140k on it and it's still going strong. First gens still look good.

To me the newest design of anything usually looks ugly. They always seem to grow on me though. Right now I don't like the 2012.......we will see....ask me in a year.

Its still new and I would like to see more colors and configurations before I judge...like a black TRD sport Double cab, or Magnetic Grey Access cab TRD with some beefy tires might look pretty good. NOTE--> have not seen a Double Cab TRD with 6 foot box yet. Im not sure why Toyota keeps using that ugly SR5 blue double cab as the promo shot truck?
