2012 Tacoma secondary air intake pump parts for Canadian Made Tacoma

I have a 2012 Tacoma that was made in Canada. I had the P2440, P2441, and P2442 check engine codes come one a few months ago that relate to secondary air intake pump problems. Brought it to my dealer and was told it was a recall and they would order parts and repair for free. 5 months later they claim they are still waiting on parts as it was made in Canada and parts are different and harder to find. Anyone have experience with a Canadian made 2012 Tacoma and this problem? Are parts actually different than the American made trucks? I have watched a few good you tube videos on replacing the valves and it looks pretty straightforward if I can find parts. Any help appreciated as I am permanently stuck in limp mode until its fixed!!!

I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a 2012 Tacoma made in Canada. Mine was made in Texas. What model is it?

 

No such thing as a Canadian made Taco. Maybe sold in Canada? Parts would still be the same

I would suggest going to a different dealer

 

Ok, thats what I wondered, don’t trust the answers I got from this dealer, vehicle was just sold in Canada for sure, so that confirms my suspicion that parts are the same. Any suggestions on locating the part number for secondary air intake valve? Carparts.com said they cant get it

 

Try another dealer. It's under warranty and doing it yourself will cost a few hundred dollars minimum.
