2012 Tacoma Trd driver window auto

So I’m familiar w what auto on the window switch means but I’m not familiar w Tacoma’s. Idk how your guys’ are I’d imagine the same but the driver window has the auto label meaning the window should go up and down when you feel that second click when rolling it up or down. It works properly going down and I can feel that second click but I don’t feel a second click or bump to go up nor will it automatically go up. Does anyone know anything about this? It rolls up and down no problem but I just wanted to know if I can get it to auto up. Thanks in advance

 

I believe all second gens only come with auto down.

 

Mine only goes down on auto. No auto going up

 

Yup, this is an older design. The auto is only auto down.

 

Do turd gens come with auto-up? That would be a pretty good part to find…

Also- why the f*ck does the window lock, lock out the driver’s access to roll up and down the passenger and rear windows? Anyone wanna explain the reasoning behind that? I want to be able to lock my dogs from rolling down the windows all the way without losing control over the entire system. Why would the driver want to lock himself out of being able to control the windows?? It defies logic gdangit.

I'd need a wiring diagram to see the circuitry, but I bet that would be pretty easy to modify.
My girl does that too lol. She knows how to lower those damn windows back there any time she wants. Smart ol' mutt.

 

They got that from Honda apparently. My old acura for some reason would let me roll down the window from the driver's switch not up. That was fun to figure out.
Edit:now that I think about it. I think it completely lock the entire switch out.

I believe there's a write up somewhere in the 2nd gen section for this
