    Alright guys, looking for opinions.
Sold the cummins 2500 which was my tow rig.
Now I have a 2012 TRD Sport auto and tow package.
And a 2003 4runner sport V8 both will have brake controller.

Towing a car hauler and FJ40 approx 5500lbs. Not very often, and not too far. But will be going from Sacramento to Rubicon, so will be going up in elevation.

    Tried them both.
Which route would you go? 4runner or Tacoma

4 runner has a heavier transmission, and more torque. I would go with that only because of the transmission and the power. I looked into buying one of those, the drive train was geared more towards towing. Not really sure the differences in the suspension. Get a scanguage 2 so you can monitor the atf fluid temp, and take it easy going up the hill because that is a good amount of weight.
