Welcome to TW, does it make the same noise if you are in neutral and coasting?

I think you may be referring to the windnoise whistle you hear ---- check the search function but its actually the rubber thing on the front grill that is causing it. the search function should help you though...

I have a 2012 PreRunner (2WD), and it whines when coasting down. Sounds like the rear u-joint.

On the plus side, the stereo sounds great. If I can hear the whine, I just turn up the stereo. :)

the whine is most definatly mechanical, not wind, when cruising between 60 and 65 you can mash the gas and it imediatly stops, you let up and it imediatley starts back to whining, you drop below 60 and it stops until coasting to a stop around 20 mile per hour or so-----

I have a 2013 DCLB SR5 and it makes the same sound you are describing, but mine does it most noticeably between 55 and 60. Only does it when lightly feathering the gas or decelerating with my foot completely off the gas. If I go slower than 55 it goes away, same if I go faster than 60 or accelerate quickly. It sounds like it's coming from the rear end. It's driving me crazy! My truck only has 1600 miles on it, I've taken it to the dealership once and they said it was normal but Idk. I'm going to talk to them about it again when I take it an at 5k. Frustrating
