I was concerned about the same thing, you'll be fine though. Bend it back with a crescent wrench to roughly a 90* angle, then when you mount it on the truck you can whack it a few times with a hammer from the bottom before you reinstall the sub-frame bolt and it'll be good as new.

Make sure you have your slider plates and fasteners. I see someone clear taped it so they busted the whole top loose. Even though we thoroughly tape and/or box that stuff they still could have come loose given the way UPS is handling these.

Got mine today. My packaging was not as bad as some but as with everyone else all the staples were out and both sets of tape ripped. Doesn't appear to be any damage to the bumper however.

Eeeekk, this makes me nervous... Because I live in bit of a secluded area, the last time I ordered something UPS they said they didn't deliver to my address (even though by the time they told me this, they had already shipped the package 90% of the way) so they pawned it off on some local jokal to get it from their closest truck to my place. This is gonna make it hard to pin the damage claims on someone... If any damage is done, the local clown will say UPS did it, and they're gonna say the joker did it.

    Oh bother

Hey guys. Those of you that have received damaged boxes/bumpers please try to hold on to the boxes for a few days, UPS may want them as evidence... or something along those lines. Trying to get some compensation for you guys on this.

    Lots of pictures at least.

I've started using fiber tape so if the staples fail that will hold it all together. I'm also adding quite a bit of padding under the bumper and the floor of the box to absorb some of this abuse. I'm hoping this will stop this... or at least help.

My tabs were bent slightly also, but I told the guy at the line x place to bend them perpendicular to the bumper mounting plate.

got mine on Monday and seem to have been the luckiest of the bunch. My box shows some wear spots, but the tape is still in tact, along with all but one of the staples. I haven't opened it up yet (stuck traveling to Chile for the next few days) but overall, it didn't look bad. I'll get my brother to take some pics for me.

BTW, my UPS guy used a dolly to bring it down the driveway and didn't drop it off the truck to get it onto the dolly, but he was also pretty ripped, which isn't always the case.

Did a test fit. Fits perfectly and is very well built.

Had a hell of a time trying to unhook the block heater plug in, so i came up with an alternative.

This overall, has been the strangest shipping endeavor:

    Among other things...

Funny part is that this bumper is going to Hawaii.

Guess the bumper caused the train to derail in the Pacific.

I figured a train derailment somewhere between Texas and California would show up in the news but all I see is one up around New Jersey.

Found two more, one in Arkansas and one in Georgia... still all going in the wrong direction.

Didn't know so many trains derailed on a given day...

I saw one of those train derailment notices when tracking a package a couple years ago. I was cracking up at the time.

My box arrived yesterday and visually it looked to be in pristine condition. As I brought it inside I noticed that all staples and the tape were broken. Inside the box was perfect condition though.

My Box only had one staple left holding long ways and both ends were fine other than that no problems such as holes or rips. The bumper was in perfect condition.

yes, I have done the mods
Just to chime in, mine arrived in good condition - box looked in good shape, no large holes, normal scuffs only. One staple had failed, looks like it took a mild bump directly on the staple. Tape straps intact.

Looking forward to testing and installation!

Right at 4 hours for everything. Used the youtube method of installing shocks and springs and it was very easy. Exhaust took maybe 10 minutes.
