2012 Tacoma won't open

My 2012 Tacoma's hood won't open. Bought it two months ago. Latch works however hood won't pop up after hood latch is pulled. How can I open my hood without having to go to the dealer? Thanks in advance.

 

You could try get a friend to lift the hood while you pull the release, it may be sticky, or the good ole smack the hood method while someone pulls the release lever.
If neither works, then somthing else has happened or its seized, if it does work, lube up the latch before you close the hood again.

 

Ok. Pulled interior latch, slid underneath with a broom and used broom handle to push hood up. It popped up. Was able to open hood and lube the latches. Closed hood and pulled hood release and hood popped up. Tried a few more times and worked great. Thanks for all the previous threads on my this.
