I love the new grill, I think its the best looking tacos on the road, the rims just need to not be chrome :p.

I like the new front end but it doesn't go with the now "old" bodystyle. Update it with a similar new "sharp" bodystyle and I'll take it.

I like the '12 as much as the '11. I just don't like the price increase...are the plastics inside the newer truck thicker...less cheap feeling? My nit-picking questions why they had to use black squared-off brackets to mount the foglights... commonality of foglights across different vehicles to save mfg costs or drive up the nickle/dime replacement part cost in the event that you lightly rear-end someone???

None yet, want steps and bull bar possibly.
The wheels are just covers aren't they? at least that's what the dealer told me.

    Yes and no.

Search chrome clad wheels on wiki. It will explain it better than I can.

The wheels are aluminum with a plastic cover, so yes.

It's not a cover that you can remove however. There is a bonding material used between the aluminum wheel and the cover that seals it, the cover cannot be removed.

There is a pic (again, I think it's on wiki) where they cut a chrome clad wheel in half so you can see what it's all about.

the nose is alright but it really makes the rest of the body look dated. And to think I was that asshole that used to lower trucks...geez.

    coming soon!
Why fix it if it ain't broke? Glad I got my 2011 cuz this is one UGLY sucker. Front bumper lines don't even flow with the flares, that whole front end looks like $hit. Hood scoops are supposed to stick out a bit, why did they even bother with that little bump the put on there. Tacoma used to be the baddest looking truck on the road, not anymore.
When I see one on the road I think here comes the big CATFISH!!!!!

If I had a nickel for every time a car forum hated on a body style refresh, i could afford another tacoma by now. Some things never change. Old style folks hate on new style mostly because they are jealous, sometimes because they are so used to seeing the existing style and very rarely because the new style actually sucks.

I for one love the 2012 styling. Entire taco styling has gone downhill since the compact/purposeful styling of the 1st gens, but compared to 05-11, the 12s look better.

Thought the 2012 changes were a huge improvement from the first time I saw one at the local dealer.

I have a '12 and the latch for the console box is in the wrong place. Everytime I put my seatbelts on my hand hits the console latch and opens it. Toyota should of put in it front, not on the side.

Like someone else said I'm waiting for the diesel engine then I'll upgrade
Immeadiately. Been to the Philippines and Hong Kong and Tacoma diesels are very popular maybe moreso than gasoline.

Personally, I like my '11 better but I will say I do like the Entune system and the updated interior.

I like it so much, mine will be in town in about three days. BRed. I'll post some pics.
My second Tac. First was a 2002 Accs Cab 4x4.
Went to a F-250 FX4 and now back to a Tac.
