    Rust shouldn't be a concern if you're in Oregon. We don't use salt. Not sure if WA does. Where are you?

    I wouldn't let the secondary air injection problem stop me from buying my 12 DCSB Off Road again. There is enough information on here to deal with the problem if it occurs. Saying that if you buy one from a dealer you will probably have a better chance at getting help with the repair if it occurs.

    Based on what I paid for mine 24k-27k seem about right for 90,000 miles. I'd rather buy a stock truck than a lifted one so I could do it the way I want to.

    It seams like it is a 20% chance at a $500 part failing that can be fixed in my driveway. And if caught early the breather mod seams to eliminate the root cause of the problem. It is something to watch out for, but it is not the end of the world like Ecoboosts blowing turbos at 90k or the lifters on a Silverado AFM that require a top end rebuild.
