I created this thread to retrace my steps on where the truck began and where the truck is now

Go the the last page for the most up to date and current state

With that said, here it is...

I bought this truck used back in January 2017. When I got it it had a new set of BFG KO2 265/70/R17, Apex Rock Sliders, and a rhinolined ARE shell. I didnt really like the shell so I imediatly took it off.
The previous owner also had installed the Black TRD Pro Headlights and blacked out the emblems

After having the truck for about 10 days I made my first mod and installed a lightbar in the lower grill. This was just the cheapest Lightbar I could find on Amazon, as i was just a senior in highschool and on a tight budget

Soon after I wanted to change the grill. I really liked the TRD Pro style grill but at the time could not affort to fork out $500 for one. So I went with a grill from customcargrills.com with Toyota lettering and vinyl wraped the letters to match

I then wanted to lift/level the truck so on a highschool budget I of course went with a Roughcountry spacerlift

After this the truck stayed the same for almost 2 years while I spent my first 2 years at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado

After living in Colorado for a year I started to realize the opportunity I had and what I could do with the truck. at this point everything kinda blew out of proportion

Total chaos UCAs, King coilovers, Bilstein 5160s, Ubolt flip and wheelers superbumps all the way around, a DIY bedrack and smittybuilt roof top tent, and prinsu roofrack.

Thoughts on the spacer lift? I want to lift on a limited budget too, but don't want to destroy the ride quality.

If I were to do it again then I would not go with a spacer lift, probably one of the worst things you can do to ride quality. at the very least I would go with Bilstein 5100s and I would not go any higher than 2 inches. Now, anything you do will not ride as good on the highway as the stock suspension, however a good aftermarket suspension will firm things up a bit as far as making the ride less mushy and bouncy.
