Yes, and at a geometric rate. At 2:14 am Eastern Time on August 29th, 1997, it will become self-aware....

For what it's worth, I just had a TRD S/C installed in my 2012 X-Runner and it felt MUCH stronger after 150 miles. No doubt about it. The tech said it might even take up to 1000 miles to fully 'learn' the new map. I doubted him at first, but after the first 150 mile improvement, I'm less skeptical.

THIS is the Airaid intake especially for the 2012 Tacoma. It comes with instructions to relocate the air pump to near the power steering reservior.

To all that inquired about the K&N filter, it has already been claimed. Regarding the "leftover" parts i.e. engine cover, plugs, etc., I'm going to hang on to them for awhile.

I'm at 200 miles since install and have not noticed much difference...or "learning"..maybe I need more time for it to become self-aware and start driving itself to work for me.

I don't really see why the 2012 Airaid intake wouldn't work with the supercharger as it shouldn't cause any interference with clearance or anything, i also hope i'm kind of right as i'm buying the Airaid for the 2012 right away here and will be getting a supercharger once i get a bit more paid off the truck.

Mine definitely woke up after an initial "learning" period. That was 35,000 miles ago and I still love it. Getting ready for a 2.85" pulley and a tune to see what I can get out of her. I am the same with TRD CAI, Exhaust, and Supercharger.

I think you are absolutely right, Wheelin. There should be no fitment issues. The guy I talked to at Airaid wondered if the throttle body moved post S/C install, which I don't believe is the case. Honestly, I'm anal about OEM parts so I'm choosing to wait for TRD CAI late this summer or winter. Plus, all the "warnings" in the TRD literature about voiding warranties, etc. For example: "Unless specifically identified as compatible with TRD superchargers, other engine modifications, such as the addition of cold air induction systems....void the supercharger warranty and may void the vehicle warranty." Airaid does not specifically say if it is compatible. What can I say, I'm a rule follower.

I can wait for BBRRAAAAAAPPPP later, not worth the hassle for me. I'm not going to play games of uninstalling it before I need to take it in for service, etc.

I don't think anything other then TRD would say its compatible with the S/C, they just want you to buy TRD haha, I'm not too worried about warranty as they have to PROVE that that modification caused it to fail, and it will be probably 1.5-2 years before i am willing to drop that kind of coin on a truck that isn't paid off, but i know what you mean about taking the chances.

Edit: Wheels, Tires and lift will come before S/C

I agree, but still, don't want any hassle. Called TRD a few weeks ago and still no date on CAI availability...

Yeah, i already installed my AirAid intake, so when im ready for the S/C i will not be changing it, it would probably work better... maybe, the intake is odd as its not full open like most, it still comes from the fender, but you can take the lid off for more air flow.
