Baja edition? More like BUUhhahaha edition. j/k looks good just dont expect it to do anything near what a raptor can do.

Just me, but why rag on the guy? That truck is great, and who knows, in a few years it might be worth a whole ton of cash. The difference between a "numbers matched" muscle car from the 70's and a "clone" is unreal. Enjoy the hell out of that truck, it's a beauty! I'd get one in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

WOW dude, What do you think the raptor is? its an F-150 with shocks and a new engine. Op put a SC in his truck which weights in at 5500 lbs GVW and the F-150 (Raptor) weights in at over 7000 lbs, that is the main reason why they have frame issues.

Im sure lot of people don't like your truck or vise versa, it all comes down to personal preference.

I know it is but you are missing the point of personal preference. Maybe the OP doesn't have the room for the F-150? Maybe that beast is too big for the trails?

Love it! Really starting to make me think about when I'll trade up to a new one! I do like the baja decals but if it was mine I'd probably lift it a little more. Nice truck man!

Im not talking about cool points on forums. Im talking about in the desert. Don't expect the baja tacoma PERFORM near what a raptor can do. Coming down to personal preference would be getting a black raptor or a white raptor. not a baja taco vs a raptor. different classes imo.

All right, enough is enough. Do you ever get tired of being a jackass?

I have an Associates in Automotive Technology from Wyoming Tech, spent 20 years in dealerships, have a shop with more tools than most automotive shops, and I could go on...... I can work on just about anything.

I choose not to work on this truck, wanted something I didn't have to work on, and as far as the Raptor vs Baja debate goes, it seems to be something that others put together in their own feeble minds. I buy Toyota, because 20 years in a Ford dealership taught me that Toyota builds a better truck.

Ford trucks built after 1990 are a pile of steaming junk.... Just my opinion.

Yup! I have been looking at the 4runner trails to accommodate my (now) family of 4. This has me rethinking that..... The Tacoma actually has more headroom. Leg room is nearly identical.

If that is your garage in the background I am double jealous... very nice truck!! Is that a Dodge Dart in the back there too?

I remember people saying that buying the JBL stereo was a waste of time, but I also wanted it OE and it sounded a lot better than people who never heard it gave it credit for.

If I was buying today I would seriously think of doing it the same as you...good choice.

Yes, the building in the back is the large shop, and there is a smaller shop attached to 3 carports in front of the shop you can see in the picture.

1968 Dodge Dart GT. I purchased it from the 70 year old son of the original owner.

Personally, I think the JBL sounds excellent.

Congrats on the new taco....absolutely beautiful, cant go wrong with this quality truck! However, more balls than I, when I see people buying new tacos, when in a few short months there will absolutely maybe a new third gen. 2013 right around the corner. Its hard for me not to pull the trigger now...I love the trucks. Anyhoo thats a slammin truck. P.S. thinking about this black beauty. As long as we are not on a buget, how about full black katzin leather interior, electric sunroof, swede headlinner to finnish this classic off?

Re: 2013 redesign...... Doesn't Toyota have a ten year major redesign cycle on their vehicles? in between, its just tweaking of grilles, radios, etc. ... Making 2015 the next generation of Tacoma?
