I slept on this a bit and am going to sit down with CAD on Monday to do an accurate layout with the 4" holes to see if we can locate these to be useful for all of the reasons above.

Other than that I think we are all in...

Sounds like the Army. Not too many people listen to Patton's wisdom any more.

This makes me happy. I've been saving my monies and I'm excited to see this. Probably won't be able to afford the winch at the same time, but that's ok by me. I just hope it gets out in time to be a summer project. By fall I'll be too busy to install!! :)

    One a side note...

Any of you guys in western Canada? If so, these guys are talking about stocking our bumpers. http://customtruckpartsinc.com/

Make sure to send them an email or give them a call to spur that along as it will save you guys some money if they do stock some. Otherwise shipping one at a time can be a bit pricey.

Plus... I want to sell them some bumpers! :)

Yes sir, Alberta. I'd rather not pay huge shipping costs, myself. :)

Ok guys, here ya go. We positioned the 4" holes so you could easily get to the front winch mounting holes (the 4" holes are only .100" off vertical CL - see top left image) and still get to the rear holes which have much more vertical clearance internally. I think this will work fine but will know for sure after we have a 'production prototype' in a week or two.

Looks great. I'd say we can call the design phase complete!

Thanks for your hard work on this matter. Very interesting option for us.
Gotta love the engineering entrepreneurs out there!

I'm the guy sitting beside the mailbox, right beside the Tacoma with the front end ripped apart..... :)

Hello everyone... I'm starting my search for a winch mount and need some help. What are the differences between the U.S. Offroad version and the Undercover version.

Is it worth waiting for the U.S. Offroad since I can order the Undercover today?

    Any help is appreciated.
