2012 with 265/75/16???????

I am curious does anyone know if you can fit a 265/75/16 duratrac on a 2012 TRD offroad stock suspension with the stock steelies usinmg 1.25 spider trax wheel spacers? I want to kkep stock suspension but want a little taller and wider stande without a lift. I know these will work on earlier models but not sure about the 2012 models. The truck will be 4x4 witht the TRD package. If this size won't fit what is the largest size tire I can run witht he stock whhels and spider trax spacers?

 

I have 265/75/r16 bfg at on my 2012 its fits fine no rub without the lift and of course no rub with the lift. Its a good choice. good luck

 

You can't run the aftermarket tires with spacers, without a lift. A buddy of mine tried it and had major rubbing issues. With no spacers, it's fine

 

So the 265's would rub with wheel spacers/no lift on the stock wheels and not rub without wheel the spacers and no lift?

 

265/75/16 will fit stock just fine.

 

You shouldn't need spacers for that. I didn't on stock wheels with no lift.

 

I just want to run the wheel spacers for a wider more aggressive stance.

 

Then get a different backspaced wheel. Or you could run a slightly wider tire.

 

More than likely they will rub with the spacers, mine did. had to go for a 3" lift and fenders to clear. you can trim your fenders if you'd like.

 

I really like the look of beefer tires and the stock wheels. Do you have any idea how wide I could go with the stockers and no lift or wheel spacers? Or could I just use the wheel spacers with the stock size tire, but in a more aggressive tread pattern?

 

Generally, anything wider than 265 is going to require trimming... Even with a lift. Especially if you're planning on stock wheels.

 

You can't have your cake and eat it too! Not sure if it'll fit but if it doesn't the amount of trimming necessary will be minimal. As for spacers it'll definitely improve the stance for a little cheaper than new wheels. Since you obviously have a 2012, and want a little different look, I'd sell wheels and tires to offset the price of the wheel tires you really want. And save your 200 bucks since you won't need spacers with a diff backspacing.

 

OK thanks for all the input guys, just one last question, do you think the stock size rubber and stock wheels would look good with the use of a wheel spacer, just to get the tire out a little more and maybe in time just get a more aggressive tread pattern, but keep the stock size? I am just looking to get a more aggressive stance, but I really dont want to lift if I can help it. Or can you link me to some pics of non lifted trucks with a more aggressive stance? Sorry to be a pain but I want to try and get it right the first time and on a budget.

 

265 75 16 no spacers is fine on stock suspension...

Yeah it'll help. Good thing abt TW is if you get something for your truck And you don't like it as much as you thought you would, SELL it!

 

Babytruck ended up doing that: new wheels with more negative offset, and stock size tires. The oversize tires in combo with the wheels ended up rubbing.

 

Or you can just expect to do a lot of trimming/ cutting if you want to stuff something bigger under there. I would recommend an aggressive 265/75/16 though.

 

Anyone running 285 with lift on there 2012?

Her issue was mainly due to the fact that her rims were 9" wide, so they stuck out 3" more than stock since they were 4.5" backspaced.
