If we all die , I'd be a whiner for complaining , i'm sure 5,000,000,000 people will die worse than I will. As for the other billion, who cares , we'd be dead.

What I can't understand about this whole 2012 thing is that the paranoia is based on the belief that there is going to be some apocolyptic event that is going to end the world.

Concern over this catostrophic happening, whatever it may be, has given rise to all these 'survivalists' with their ARs, gas masks, bunkers and everything else.

But if the apocolypse is truly going to come in 2012, what do the ARs, gas masks, etc. matter? If we're all going to die, there is no need to stockpile anything. If anyone stands a chance of surviving by stockpiling food, guns, etc. then we can all do that, and we'd all survive. So if we all prepare for this event, and we all survive it, was it really that bad?

Hardly the end of the world if a bunch of rednecks are smart enough to survive it...

I feel the shows on the mayans are as much to blame, simply asking the question..."will the world end that day" then they continue on supposing false facts. The mere question is often stated as if we all know the answer to that, (the secret/false yes).
Asking that kind of question is niether scientific or intelligent. Simply stating that the mayan may have believed it and leaving it at that would be credible since it addresses their view , not assumed rhetoric.

Not trying to turn this into a religious thread by no means but i have been looking into at it a little blah blah blah as well.

    1) NO one and absolutely NO one knows when the world is going to end. Their is no certain day set for when this so called event is suppose to happen. If you know anything or read anything about the bible then you will know this.

    2) People have been predicting the end of time for a VERY long time. When that date goes by, then they predict a new date.

I do think the time is Dec 2012 but it definitely is getting closer than most of us anticipate. Not trying to scare anybody and not trying to preach to anyone, but they're are many different signs that are happening. (Change in seasons, shorter years, storms/earthquakes, etc.)
I'll just keep thanking god for waking up in the morning and live until i can't live anymore!

This could be a long shot here, but maybe in december of 2012 is when the economy will turn completely around..... all these people will be selling things so they can go buy a crap load of things to protect themselves....so maybe them buying all this stuff will stimulate the economy enough to send it back up, and everything will be ok.............. or not,i think it'll just be another day:D

the way i look at it. These calenders were found in deserted areas. So obviously they calculated wrong and they already died off..... we will be fine.

i dont believe it, but i do think that all the people that actually do believe will bring chaos, which may not bring end to the world but definitely make it a lot worse. All the things happening in the world right now are only making it worse, not to mention all the illuminati bs... like a quarter of my senior class probably believes in the illuminati, it makes me laugh seeing how much people will believe. Its like if you make one person believe, that one person will make someone else believe and its all a chain reaction
