Sound like the wheels are out of balance, that's a common balancing issue, vibes at 2 speeds.

Thanks, I will give it a shot. Cheap, and a good simple start.

Doug, I have a bed mat from an S10 in my truck, and it works great.
I got for free, and cut it to fit.
Shit doesn't slide around, adds some shock absorption when throwing wood and other heavy shit in, and when it gets dirty, I pull it out and wash it.

This is where you're going to hear all of the bad stories! The vast majority of Gen2 owners have trouble free trucks, myself included. What you are reading here is a small minority of taco owners. They come here to vent and to ask questions about the problems they are having. You'll find this with any manufacturer, not just Toyota.

bought 2 days ago and i love it, i didn't know of any issues, and im not worry im buying the extended warranty from my credit union for $160 for 5years/100,000 miles, $100 deductible that alone shows the reliability and endurance of these vehicles, no problems/no regrets!

My '12 got rear ended by a Mack. The stereo was a joke but the wireless mic worked better than my '13.

The BT stereo on my '13 has fewer bugs than the '12.

The '13 I have now has an equal amount of miles as the '12. Feels the same... none of the issues you stated in the OP.

I feel like the '12 got better MPG than the '13.

Lastly: the '13 OR 4X4 has an auto dimming mirror and outside temp...the '12 OR 4X4 had that all that and HOMELINK. Pretty sure the '14 has a regular rear view mirror. Suckers.

I had a '13 TRD Sport that I kept for about 20k miles, no issues other than a slight driveline vibe. I now have a '14 TRD Off Road with none of those issues so far at just over 5k miles.

Suckers indeed. I wish I had bought the same exact truck I have now last year. Having owned both I can say the interior amenities on the '13 were much nicer. Aside from the obvious mirror issues I always feel like I'm going to break the stupid little knobs off the radio every time I use them.

Anyone had any trouble with the air re-circulation control on the ac/heater control? Mine shuts off after about 3 mins. doesn't bother me much but drives my wife crazy on the hwy when she starts smelling exhaust for the the other cars.

I have had two of these issues:
Light cabin rattles, but no worse than my Outback had.
Front end whistling at a headwind of about 100mph. Only then.

In general I love the truck, although I wish I could do better than 17 mpg around town. I have not observed any of these other issues. I am not a 4-wheeler, just go off-road to access other adventures.

Just got mine in 1/2014. I have not had any issues yet. At least that I can tell. Lets hope they do not come up. But as of now I love it. First truck ever.

Got my 13 DCLB 4x4 Sport back in Feb 2013. It now has over 29k miles on it without issues, knock on wood. Looking forward to throwing on my 5100's and Pro Comp 7089's next week. First truck I've owned and loving it!

The main issue that I have had is the drive line vibrations / axle wrap. If you are looking at the JBL / Nav system, I like the JBL audio, but find the Nav. seriously lacking.

5k on my 2014, only "issue" it feels like it shifts harsh into overdrive at slow acceleration at around 35-40mph.

Checked the trans fluid but that's not it. For some reason it doesn't happen when in 4X4...or under faster acceleration.

Maybe it's just me who is used to smoother shifts and it's normal?
