Purchased brand new! I have 156K miles now. The only fluid change besides Mobil 1 every oil change, has been the power steering pump fluid last visit to dealership.

The rear end and tranny has never been touched. Spark plugs are factory.

Should I have any of these 3 items changed at some point?

I am on my 3rd set of tires.
I am on my 4th battery. (Florida heat and I stop and start a lot for my job)
Truck was hit by lightning, hit the hedge next to truck, came through rear passenger wheel. (New ecm, cam sensor, abs brakes and new rim)
New factory windshield after detailer at dealership messed it up.

    Been a great truck!!

Ooof.... no rear axle gear oil change in 156k miles. Im betting pinion bearing failure (and subsequently ring and pinion) in your future.

ALL fluids changed. Serpentine belt, MAF sensor cleaned etc etc

I remember being in a VW dealer when someone came in for their 60k mile service and the guy realized they had never changed the engine oil. Better late than never.

OK I got the first thing knocked out - rear end.
Question: there was a blueish seal around the fill plug, is that a factory seal? I'm adding pics of the used oil for input. I was expecting a lot worse and the magnet had very little on it. I did install new fill & drain gaskets. (ken thanks again for the chart)

Yeah no way thats original fluid, the magnet woulda been FILLED with shavings etc and oil would of been black. At some point in its service life it has had it changed (WHICH IS A GOOD THING!)

Its possible during the lightning strike repairs ($6000 charged to State Farm) that they changed the rear end oil & right passenger rim at the same time. That specific repair is not showing on the online Toyota owners website. May have to dig through my paperwork to find out.

Grease the driveshafts. You'll be able to tell how long it's been by the color and consistency of the old grease that's forced out. Grease gun and grease is $25. The zerk claw attachment is worth it and another $8.
