Hello. I have a 2013 6 cylinder Tacoma. I was about to install a receiver on this vehicle, when I noticed a pop out fitting on the step in the bumper. I suspect that I may have the tow package.

Can anyone confirm that I can actually install a tow ball in this hole? Is it a 3/4 or 1 inch shaft?

    Thanks.

This is from 2011 owners manual.

As for shaft size, you'd just have to measure. Get the biggest one that fits.

That's not a tow package. Tow Package has an OEM receiver (unless someone removed it, which I doubt, as it bolts to the bumper).

And reminder, the manual also says you shouldn't tow over 1000 pounds without trailer brakes. Do you have the 7-pin next to your license plate?
