2013 6 gears double cab short box only?

    500 rpm has a lot to do with the improved MPG. When I drive her Element I'm in 5th at 35 in town, at 75 it never needs to be downshifted except a steep incline

    Europeans pay more than twice what we pay for gas, they get better mpg with sticks because they are designed for max mpg. Gas is cheap here, why bother designing for lazy Americans, sell us higher profit automatics.

    The Acura TSX has the 6 speed. Not sure what other vehicle used it. But it is the same exact box minus a pair if gears. Here is a picture with the extra gear in green that where added. With the 5-speed that area is empty.

    I made a 700 rpm jump with the diff regear though and saw virtually no difference in MPG. I imagine it varies from motor to motor since motors have a range where they are most efficient just like they have a range where they make the most power and torque.

    That 6th gear thing is still really interesting... haha.
